National Safety Apparel Sizing Information: C88 FR Coveralls

printer friendly viewprint
National Safety Apparel’s FR Coveralls provide a comfortable, sewn-in elastic waist, 2-way covered zipper down front for easy entry, and plenty of pockets. These great coveralls are available in sizes SM to 3X in lengths of short to extra long. Below is a sizing guide to ensure an accurate fit when ordering. Please note that different manufacturers size their garments based on varying measurements. For correct ordering, it is absolutely necessary that you use the correct size chart. This sizing chart applies to all C88 coveralls or arc flash kits that include C88 coveralls.

Garments are not preshrunk, please allow for average 5% shrinkage on these garments.

CHEST MEASUREMENT

Notes for a successful fit in the chest area from The 70E Store:

  • Take your chest measurement around the fullest part of the chest with arms down: just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
  • Take your chest measurement while wearing the outfit that you would wear when donning coveralls. If you will wear a sweatshirt beneath your flame resistant coveralls, be sure to measure your chest while wearing it.  Be sure to consider what clothes will be worn in the coldest of climates.
  • If your waist, mid-section or hip area is larger than your chest, measure at your widest point to ensure a proper fit. If your chest measures at 36”, but your mid-section measures at 42”, be sure to order the larger size.
  • For a roomy coverall fit, order coveralls a size larger than your chest measurement.

LENGTH

INSEAM SIZE

28” (short)

Torso 1.5” shorter than regular

30” (regular)

Regular Torso

32” (long)

Torso 1.5” longer than regular

34” (x-long)

Torso is 3” longer than regular

Notes for a successful fit in the garment length:

·         Measure from crotch to top of foot, along inside of leg. Typically, normal pant inseam length is the right length.

  • If you are not sure if you are a 30” or 32” or any length, order longer. It is much easier to “hem” or shorten any garment than to make it longer. Often times lengthening a garment requires the addition of fabric.
